BRAM STOKERS CASTLE DRACULA – Enjoy a Heart-thumping Experience while meeting the Characters from Dracula & learn about Irish writer Bram Stoker, who wrote Dracula & was born beside Castle Dracula in Dublin. Brave visitors journey through castle tunnels, over spinning bridges to the Vampire Courtyard, up to Dracula’s Lair and down to the Worlds only Graveyard Theatre for a Show where they promise not to bite. Connemara National Park covers 2,957 hectares of scenic mountains, expanses of bogs, heaths, grasslands and woodlands. Some of the Park’s mountains, are part of the famous Twelve Bens or Beanna Beola range.
Much of the present Park lands formed part of the Kylemore Abbey Estate and the Letterfrack Industrial School.
KYLEMORE ABBEY AND VICTORIAN WALLED GARDEN – Home to the Benedictine nuns since 1920. Explore the 6 acre Victorian Walled Garden with its delightfully restored garden buildings. Discover woodland and lakeshore walks that will take you on a beautiful journey through our 1,000 acre estate. The beautiful Gothic Church is a short walk from the Abbey, nestled nearby is the Mausoleum where Mitchell and Margaret Henry are buried side by side. BREAKFAST AT HOTEL – CONORS PASS – A Twisty One-Lane Asphalted Road Leads To the Pass. The drive is considered one of the most beautiful of Ireland.
THE DINGLE PENINSULA, on Ireland’s southwest Atlantic coast, is ringed by sandy beaches and craggy cliffs. Inland are rolling hills and mountains, including 952m Mount Brandon. Dunmore Head, mainland Ireland’s easternmost point, has views of the Blasket Islands, famous for Irish-language memoirs documenting rural life in the 1800s and 1900s.
DINGLE TOWN – small port town on southwest Ireland’s Dingle Peninsula, known for its rugged scenery, trails and sandy beaches. A statue of long-time harbour resident Fungie the dolphin is by the waterfront. Dingle Oceanworld Aquarium has penguins, otters and sharks. To the northwest, Gallarus Oratory is an ancient dry-stone church with sloping sides. Lunch in Dingle Town – not included
THE SLEA HEAD DRIVE (Slí Cheann Sléibhe) is a circular route, forming part of the Wild Atlantic Way, beginning and ending in Dingle, that takes in a large number of attractions and stunning views on the western end of the peninsula. The route is clearly labelled by road signs throughout its length.
INCH BEACH – Famous for being the place where an inch is actually three miles long, the fantastic beach at Inch has been chosen several times as a film location. Hollywood movies that are familiar household names include “Ryan’s Daughter”
